How to find the Windows product key at the command prompt or in PowerShell
When you enter, save and activate your copy of Windows using a retail key, the information is stored in the Windows registry. OEM computer users may have noticed that for several years now, manufacturers have not affixed their certificate of authenticity or certificate of authenticity label that displays the Windows product key on the device. This key is now integrated into the BIOS/UEFI.
