Updated October 2024: Stop getting error messages and slow down your system with our optimization tool. Get it now at this link
- Download and install the repair tool here.
- Let it scan your computer.
- The tool will then repair your computer.
The login screen does not appear when users turn on their Windows 10 computer. The rotating points appear, followed by a screen with an ocean/rock scene. The time and date appear at the bottom left of the screen, but there is nothing you can do to load the login screen.
Disabling Windows Biometric Service can slow connections. Some websites recommend stopping Windows Biometric Service if you do not have a fingerprint scanner or something similar. But the service will not be stopped. Restarts when you turn it off.
After starting without Windows Biometric Service, there is a long delay before the user sees the password prompt. The lock screen works, but the login screen has only its icons in the lower right corner. The password entry field will eventually appear, but it will take 3 minutes or more.
Troubleshooting in safe mode
This problem is usually solved by starting your PC in safe mode. This method starts Windows in a basic state and uses a limited set of files and drivers. Let’s fix the problem by following these steps:
October 2024 Update:
You can now prevent PC problems by using this tool, such as protecting you against file loss and malware. Additionally, it is a great way to optimize your computer for maximum performance. The program fixes common errors that might occur on Windows systems with ease - no need for hours of troubleshooting when you have the perfect solution at your fingertips:
- Step 1 : Download PC Repair & Optimizer Tool (Windows 10, 8, 7, XP, Vista – Microsoft Gold Certified).
- Step 2 : Click “Start Scan” to find Windows registry issues that could be causing PC problems.
- Step 3 : Click “Repair All” to fix all issues.
- On the login screen, hold down the Shift key and click the Power button and select Restart. If the power icon is missing on the login page, you must turn off your computer three (3) times (hold down the power switch) to start it in safe mode, the third time, and you should have the same options.
- On the Choose Option screen, select Troubleshooting > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
- After restarting, press F4 to switch to safe mode.
- Your device should now prompt you to log in to your account.
- After logging in, press Windows + R, then enter msconfig.
- In the System Configuration window, go to the Boot tab.
- Under Startup Options, clear the Secure Startup check box and make sure that Normal Startup is selected on the General tab.
- Click Apply and OK to save the changes and exit safe mode.
Rebuilt Windows Boot Options
As mentioned above, sometimes the problem can simply be due to your Windows startup options. Malfunctions may occur and prevent the login screen from being displayed. In this case, you must recreate it using the bootrec command at the command prompt. Here’s how to do it:
Use the command prompt to switch to safe mode, as shown above.
Enter the following command:
Bootrec /rebuildbcd
Then enter the following commands one at a time and press Enter :
Bootrec /fixMBR
Bootrec /Fixboat
Create a new user account
If your account has been corrupted (this can happen for several reasons), you should try to create a new account. Of course, complete this troubleshooting process in safe mode, as your Windows 10 login window is still missing.
- First call the Safe Mode as described above.
- Then press the Win+I keyboard shortcuts.
- Access the accounts in the system settings.
- Then click on Family and other users in the left pane.
- In the next window, simply follow the on-screen instructions and register a new account.
- This should solve the missing problem with the Windows 10 login screen.
CONCLUSION
As you know, the login screen and password field are essential to connect to Windows 10. If you access the login screen without displaying the password entry field, you cannot enter the password, so you cannot access Windows 10 to perform a job. Forget it, you can easily repair your Windows 10 password field, which does not appear if you have problems with the login screen, provided you follow the instructions above. Even a beginner who doesn’t know much about computers can implement these methods without any problems.
