The Swiss File Knife command line tool can help you search and convert text files, find duplicate files, compare folders, enlarge trees, execute custom commands for all files in a folder and much more. It can execute the following commands :

Binary grep, tree size list, instant FTP server, line filter, replace text, dupfind, connect files, md5 lists, run all files, extract strings, detab, patch, queue, hexdump.

Immediately after the first start of Swiss File Knife, the program informs you that it must be stored in the root directory of the player. You can do this by creating a folder called Tools and copying and pasting the.exe file. Or simply create the folder and upload the file.

Then you must open a shell, then run CMD and enter the following : c:oolssfk. Press Enter and help text should appear. Be sure to rename the file to sfk, otherwise it will not work. When you are finished, you can now rotate the tool by typing SET PATH=%PATH%PATH%;c:ools on the command line.

Note that it is not possible to start and use Swiss File Knife from there. Everything must be done using the standard Windows command line program.

For example, if you want to learn how to find duplicate files, type sfk dupfind in the command line editor. It should display a list of texts that describe in detail how to proceed. It’s a lot to read, but if you’re a command line type, it shouldn’t be a big problem.

Swiss File Knife is not supplied with a graphical user interface, which can be confusing for most people. However, the program is not for everyone. It is intended for the advanced computer user, and these are the people to whom we will recommend it.

Download the Swiss Army Knife from the official website here. More details about this tool can be found here.
