1] Check services
There are four services that should work properly for the home group to work on the Windows computer. These are Peer Name Resolution Protocol, Peer Networking Grouping, Peer Networking Identity Manager and PNRP Machine Name Publication Service. To make sure they all work, open the Service Manager on your Windows computer. If you are using Windows 10 and Windows 7, you can use the Start menu help. Otherwise, press Win + R, type services.msc and press Enter. Then check these services.
Double-click each service and make sure that the status of the service is set to Running. Otherwise, select Manual from the drop-down menu Startup mode and click Start button accordingly.
2] Perform home group troubleshooting
In Windows 10 v1703 and v1709, you can find a home group convenience store. To use it, open Windows Settings > go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
Scroll slightly down right until you get option Homegroup . Click the Homegroup option and click the Run Troubleshooting button . Therefore, you must follow the screen option to do so.

3] Rename and change permissions for MachineKeys
Open Windows Explorer and enter this path in the address bar.
C:ProgramDataMicrosoftCryptoRSA
Here C is the system drive.
The RSA folder contains another subfolder named MachineKeys. You must rename this folder. Use another name as you wish. You may need administrator rights to do this.
Therefore, create a subfolder in the RSA folder and name it MachineKeys. Therefore, right click on this folder, go to Properties and go to the tab Security . Then select Everyone and click the Edit button . Activate the checkbox Full Control/Allow and click on the button Apply or OK .
So unless you have implemented the first solution from this list, you must open the services and make sure all four services work.
4] Check Group Policy Editor
There is an option in the Group Policy Editor that allows you to enable or disable the peer-to-peer network service on a Windows computer. If this option is set to OFF, you may not be using a home group on your computer. Therefore, first open the Group Policy Editor. Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc and press Enter. Navigate to this path accordingly:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > Microsoft Peer-to-Peer Network Services
On the right side, there is an option called Disable Microsoft Peer-to-Peer Networking Services.
Double-click and select Not configured or Off. Do not select Enabled.
Check if your problem is solved.
