Windows could not start the Windows firewall on the local computer

Step 1:

This step is by default to solve most Windows problems. Yes, we need to run SFC Scan to see if Windows can solve the problem itself.

  1. Go to Start under Search Type in CMD
  2. Right click and Run as administrator
  3. Then enter SFC /SCANNOW and press Enter.

If this is an approval issue, we must sufficiently approve this key.

  1. Go to Start under search term in Regedit
  2. When asked for the administrator password, type it
  3. Go to Computer and right-click Export.
  4. Under File Name, type Regbackup and click Save.

Then release the following keys:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesDhcp
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesDhcpConfigurations

Right-click the button, and click Permissions. Click Add. In the Enter object names to select field: NT SERVICEmpssvc. Then click Check Name.

Click OK. Then click Add again. Enter All, then click OK.

Then select the account that appears in the list and add the appropriate privilege set.

Under Allow, check Total Control.

Click OK and restart your computer.

If access is denied, turn off the UAC from your control panel and try again.

Step 3:

A single malicious infection can cause a service failure. Therefore, I recommend that you run a full scan of your anti-malware. You can also download a second standalone scanner such as free malware bytes, Emsisoft or Microsoft’s new security scanner and perform a full system scan in safe mode to get a second opinion.

Step 4 :
