Enable privacy controls

  1. Open your Shadowplay, go to the Settings tab, and click General in the upper left corner.

Reinstall GeForce Experience

  1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box, type appwiz.CPL and press Enter.
  2. Right-click the NVidia GeForce Experience application in the list of installed programs and select Uninstall.
  3. Then follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstallation.
  4. Click here to download and install the latest version of GeForce Experience on your computer.

Restart the NVidia Steamer service

  1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box, then type services.MSC and press Enter.
  2. In the Services window, double-click NVidia Streaming Service to open its properties.
  3. Change the Startup Type to Automatic, then click Run if the service was disabled.
  4. You can also right-click directly on this service and select Restart.
  5. Now open the registration in GeForce Experience and see if Shadowplay is no longer running.

Allow desktop registration

  1. Open your Shadowplay and select Settings.
  2. Go to Overlay and check the Allow Desktop Registration checkbox below the desktop image.
  3. You can now open the game and try to enable the shortcuts you need to record your gameplay.
