You need Microsoft DirectX 9.0a or later and Microsoft Windows Media Player 9 or later to record audio or video clips in OneNote 2013.
Open the OneNote 2013 application and click on the location of the page where you want to place the recording. Now select the’Paste’ tab and click the’Audio Record’ option. In the Standard toolbar, you can click the arrow next to the Save button, then either Save Audio Only or Save Video.
You can display the icon above or below the ribbon to quickly access the toolbar. Simply right-click and select the desired option.
If you select the option’Audio recording’, a time stamp is placed on the page. Start recording your audio notes. You will see a message indicating that recording has started.
To stop recording, click the Pause Image button on the audio and video recording toolbar. OneNote takes the sound clip as… file. Click the icon next to the notes to view or hear the part of the recording assigned to them.
