Users could not open and use Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel. Microsoft has detected and reported this problem.
The problem persists with people running malicious bytes antivirus software. It prevented users from saving a file locally or on a network share and displayed the following message. Users were also prohibited from copying large amounts of data from one file to another or from one application to another (e.g., copying and pasting Excel into Word) and from pasting any Word image.
If you are concerned about this problem, try the following.
The problem is caused by a conflict with the Anti-Exploit module in the byte of the antivirus program. To remove this,
Start the malicious bytes and select the’Settings’ tab in the left pane.
Then click on the Protection tab at the top. And select the Manage Protected Applications option below.
Later, scroll down in the Protected Applications window to find Microsoft Office PowerPoint and turn off protection when found.
Finally, click OK.
Please note that the screenshots above contain instructions for the Microsoft Office PowerPoint application. However, the steps are the same for all other Office applications. Also remember that if you disable protection, some functions will be affected by malicious bytes, but if you don’t mind, continue and disable Office application protection.
