- Step 3 : Click “Repair All” to fix all issues.
1] In the WinX menu, open Settings > System > Notifications & Actions. Click here on the link Activate or deactivate the system icon.
The window Activate or deactivate the system icons opens where you can define the icons to be displayed in the notification area. Simply move the cursor to Volume to position On and exit.
Here you can enable or disable one of the system icons in the Windows 10 taskbar.
To access this window, you can also right-click on the taskbar > Properties and click on the notification fields: Customize Button.
2] Restart the Explorer and check if this helps.
3] If it does not help if your version of Windows 10 has a group policy, run gpedit.msc to open the local group policy editor and navigate to the next parameter :
User setup > Administrative templates > Start menu and taskbar
Now search for the next setting in the right pane – Remove the volume control icon . If it is found, double-click it to open the next window.
Make sure the policy setting is not configured or disabled.
This policy setting allows you to remove the volume icon from the Control Panel. If you enable this policy setting, the volume icon does not appear in the system tray. If you disable or do not configure this policy setting, the volume icon appears in the system tray.
Click Apply/OK and exit the program.
I hope your volume icon will be back on your taskbar.
See this message when the system icons are on or off. Towards the end of this message, you will see a registry setting that you may need to change.
