Open Ports

Because ports are used by applications to communicate with the Internet when a particular port is closed, the connection can be interrupted. Each application uses a specific communication port that must be opened by the user before troubleshooting can be performed. Therefore, you must first search for open ports on the network, and if the ports are not open, we can open them manually. For that:

  1. Press “Windows” + “I” to open the settings and click “Update & Security”.
  2. In the left pane, select the Windows Security button and click on the Firewall and Network Security option.
  3. In the left pane, select the Windows Security button and click on the Firewall and Network Security option.
  4. Select Port and click on Next.
  5. Click TCP and select Specified local ports.
  6. Enter the following port numbers with commas to separate them.
    “843, 13207, 13217, 13227, 13237, 13247, 13257”
  7. Click on Next and select Allow connection.
  8. Select Next and make sure all three options are enabled.
  9. Click Next again and write a name for the new rule.
  10. After writing a name, select “Next” and click on “Finish”.
  11. Repeat the exit rule process described above and see if the problem persists.

Configure your network settings to use Google Public DNS.

If you use Google Public DNS, change your “Standard” DNS operator from your ISP to Google Public DNS.

In most cases, the IP addresses used by your ISP’s domain name servers are automatically set by your ISP using DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). To use Google Public DNS, you must explicitly change the DNS settings of your operating system or device to use Google Public DNS IP addresses. The procedure for changing your DNS settings depends on your operating system and version (Windows, Mac, Linux or Chrome OS) or device (computer, phone or router). We provide general procedures here that may not apply to your operating system or device; please consult your manufacturer’s documentation for binding information.

Depending on your system, you may also have the option to enable a new private feature called DNS-over-TLS. This feature ensures the privacy and security of DNS messages sent between your device and Google’s DNS servers. For more details on configuring this optional function, see the system-specific sections.

Google Public DNS IP Addresses

Google’s public DNS IP addresses (IPv4) are as follows:
The IPv6 addresses of Google Public DNS are as follows:

You can use the address as a primary or secondary DNS server.
