Several users asked us questions after receiving the error ‘ATKEX_cmd.exe stopped working’ several times. For some users, this seems to happen every time they start, while others report that the problem only occurs when they try to run a resource-intensive application, such as playing a game or making a video. In most cases, the problem is reported for Windows versions prior to Windows 10. atkexcomsvc.exe works from the bottom as a service under Windows (asComSvc). This service operates under the SYSTEM account with extended privileges on the local computer and acts as a computer on the network.

- Right-click Realtek + Disable before reinstalling.
Installing the Intel Management Engine Driver
It appears that this particular problem may also occur due to a missing Intel Management Engine driver that has been incorrectly uninstalled. This is usually reported on ASUS computers. Several users concerned reported that after the installation of the latest version of IME (Intel Management Engine) and the restart of the computer, the error “ATKEX_cmd.exe stopped working” occurred.
