Disable Hardware Acceleration

Hardware acceleration is indeed useful and improves the visual experience within desktop applications, but only if you have the right configuration. On the contrary, it can reduce performance or even cause crashes and crashes on unsupported devices.

If you’re stuck with an old, embedded GPU, hardware acceleration can do more harm than good. And in the worst case, it can render Outlook completely unusable and cause the profile loading screen to shut down.

So you can temporarily disable it and check for changes. To do this, you must run Outlook in Safe Mode.

The following instructions should guide you through the process:

  • Press the Windows + R key to bring up the Run command box.
  • At the command prompt, type the following command and press Enter
  • Outlook / Secure Mode
  • Once the program has started, open File in the menu bar.
  • Choose the options.
  • Open Advanced.
  • Under Display, select the Disable Hardware Graphics Acceleration check box.
  • Save the changes and restart Outlook.

Disable Outlook Compatibility Settings

If you tried the above method and did not find results, you can try the alternative here. This update only asks you to disable the compatibility settings in your Outlook. Follow the steps below and see if it works.
