The problem occurs when using a Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 computer. You configure Windows Media Player 12 to display subtitles when you play a DVD. However, the video image flashes each time a new subtitle line is displayed.

This problem occurs because Enhanced Video Rendering (EVR) handles subtitle notifications.
