Logitech speakers are one of the best speakers you can use on your computer, but many users have reported problems trying to run them on Windows. Many users report that the problem occurs immediately after the update to Windows 10, but of course there are other scenarios in which the same thing happens.
Users have found many different ways to solve this problem, and we recommend that you consult them below. Follow the instructions carefully and the problem should be solved in no time!
Did you turn the sound off?
One of the easiest ways to end without audio on Windows is to accidentally mute the sound.
This can easily be done by simply pressing the wrong key or keyboard shortcut. This can even happen if the system volume is too small.
To restore the sound, start playing an audio or video file. This will help you recognize that the audio is working again.
Then, identify the mute button on your keyboard and touch it. On a multimedia keyboard, it is usually located at the top, with other playback controls.
With a laptop computer? The mute function is usually found by pressing Fn and the corresponding F key.

Changing the default speaker format
If the speakers are working, but the sound they emit is noisy and of poor quality, you should check if the sampling rate is too low. Windows often assigns a low sampling rate to newly added devices, which can cause problems of this type. You can choose a higher frequency and any bit depth!
- Right-click on the volume icon at the bottom right of your screen and select Sounds An alternative is to open your PC’s Control Panel and set the Display As option to Large Icons. Then, search and click on the Sounds option to open the same window.
- Navigate to the Playback tab of the currently open Sounds window.
- Left-click on Logitech Speakers and click on the Properties button. Navigate to the Advanced tab in the Speaker Properties window and review the Default Format section. Click here to open the drop-down menu.
- You can choose between different qualities and sampling rates to experiment. However, make sure that the lowest level is 2 channels, 16 bits, 44100 Hz (CD quality). Check that your speakers are working properly now!
Check the default playback device on Windows
If your computer is equipped with the Windows operating system, make sure that the correct playback device is set as the default device for audio output. If the wrong playback device is set as the default device, the sound will not come from the intended device (such as speakers or headphones).
- Open the control panel.
- Click or double-click on the Hardware and Sound or Sound icons.
- On Windows XP and earlier versions, under Sound, click Manage Audio Devices.
- In the Sound window, on the Playback tab, locate the input of the speakers connected to your computer.
- Right-click on the speaker input and select Set as default device.
- Click OK at the bottom of the Sound window to save your changes.
Fix hardware problems.
Your speakers are connected, but no sound? You will need a dose in the first place. When troubleshooting, make sure the volume is not turned off. If your volume is muted, you will see a cross-shaped icon next to your volume icon. Click on the Volume icon and drag the slider to Maximum to see if a sound is coming from your speaker.
Your speaker may not be properly connected due to hardware problems, so you will notice that your speakers are connected, but no sound at all. To eliminate the cause of your problem, try to solve the problem.
