When I look for a way to do it, I can get this message on Microsoft Answers. Here I found a link to an article on unawave.de, which shows me the way.

You even created a batch file that automates the whole process.

Although the file seems to have been created for Windows 7, I tried it on my Windows 10 v1709 PC and it worked well. So I think it should work under Windows 8.1/8.

So if you want to disable automatic arrangement in a folder, download this file, unzip it and double-click the.bat file to run it. But before you do that, you must first create a system restore point, just in case you need to go back.

Don’t forget to right click in the folder, select View then Arrange automatically!
