Gboard doesn’t work? Google claims that “Gboard has everything you like in Google Keyboard”, and they are right. Gboard is a keyboard application developed by Google for Android and iOS devices. Its integration with many Google services such as search, translation and maps make Gboard the perfect choice for everyone. Its speed and reliability make it the first choice of most users. But even the best users sometimes have their bad days. For some reason, Gboard may not work on your device or may not display on Android/iOS devices. However, it is easy to fix and requires only a few steps.
What is Gboard?
Gboard is a virtual keyboard application developed by Google for Android and iOS devices, the first version of which was released in May 2016.
Since then, the application has been updated and improved several times. Gboard offers Google search, GIF and emoji search and sharing, a predictive input engine that suggests the next word based on context, and multilingual language support.
A virtual keyboard is software that allows characters to be entered into a device without the need for physical keys, usually via a touch screen.

Clear Gboard App Cache
Caching allows your applications to respond and work faster by storing the data and programs they frequently use on the local computer. Sometimes new updates are made, but your application still uses the cache, which causes conflicts and application crashes.
- Go to Settings and click Applications.
- Scroll down until you see Gboard. Click Gboard.
- In the application, select Storage to view information about the cache data.
- Click the Clear Cache button to clear the cache. This forces the application to download new and updated data from the server.
Uninstall Gboard and Install it Again
The last step, if Gboard does not work on an iPhone, is to uninstall the Gboard application, then reinstall it and configure it as a new application. When you remove an application from your iPhone, all data that the application has stored on your iPhone is deleted, including any software files that may have been damaged.
