Microsoft is updating all its products to new feel and look and it is doing so for Outlook.com. A couple of weeks ago, the company has announced that it is planning to add many features to its web based email service Outlook.com. While those newly added features were still available only for the handful of the Outlook.com users and today Microsoft has started rolling out the new look to the Skype which comes as built-in feature in Outlook.com. Microsoft has also confirmed that the new design is available as betas and the full version will be released soon.
Below are the features what the latest Skype on Outlook.com offers to its users.
Clicking on the Skype icon from the top right corner will launch the Skype sidebar. Here you can see which of your friends are online, view the recent conversations and search for the new people on Skype. Although if you are new to Skype, it is very simple to find the contacts- just click on the magnifying glass in the sidebar to search for and add the contacts to the Outlook.com
Pick up the one-to-one conversations or group chats where they were left off by simply clicking on the corresponding bubble on the right. It also supports synchronization, as all your messages on Skype will be synchronized across all the devices where you have logged into Skype. Click on the call button to make one-to-one voice or video calls, but to do the voice or video calls you need to install the browser plug-in.
