1. Press Windows key + R, type ‘regedit‘ in the Run dialog, and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.

– Check if Real-time protection is on under Virus & threat protection settings.
– Finally, ensure that the Windows Defender Antivirus Service is running in Task Manager.

2. Perform a Clean Boot to Check for Software Conflicts:

– Open the Run dialog box (Windows Key + R), type “msconfig”, and press Enter.
– In the System Configuration window, go to the Services tab and select the ‘Hide all Microsoft services‘ option.
– Click the ‘Disable All‘ button.
– Next, go to the Startup tab and click the ‘Open Task Manager‘ link.
– Disable all startup items listed in Task Manager.
– Restart your computer.
– After the restart, check if the error is resolved. If it is, enable startup items one by one and restart each time to identify the problematic software.
