The Windows Store, recently renamed Microsoft Store, is the official marketplace for downloading games, applications, themes and more. It is not uncommon for it to trigger bugs, many of which are difficult to fix. We are here to help you.
Many users complain that when they try to download something or update something in the Microsoft Store, they always get an error with error code 0x80D02017. This problem occurred during the last Windows update. Here is the solution to solve this problem.
The reasons for this Windows storage error (0x80d02017) are as follows:

- Windows regularly publishes new updates for Windows 10 OS to fix security patches and errors. If the installed Windows update contains an error or malicious code, you may encounter the
- Windows memory error on your computer.

Run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter
Before you start checking some error messages, it is useful to run the Microsoft Store troubleshooting. This will detect problems and try to solve them automatically. Even if they cannot be fixed, it is still useful to know what the problem is if the store does not display a specific error when you start it.
Download the Windows 10 troubleshooter directly from Microsoft.
Open the Diagnostic Wizard file, which should be selected by default. Click Next to move to the wizard. At the end, note any error messages that could not be corrected.
Run WSReset
The next thing you can try is a small command called “wsreset”. As its name suggests, this utility resets the Windows store cache on Windows 10 (and Windows 8). It is easy to do and solves many problems.
- The easiest way to access the program is to type wsreset in the Cortana search field. The highest result should be similar to the one shown here. When you click on the wseset option, a command line window opens in which the executable file WSReset.exe is executed. He can lie there for a while and do nothing. Don’t worry about that. Just leave the reset window there until it closes automatically. You will know that it is finished when the Windows Store application starts.
- After the reset is complete, try to perform the update or any other operation you want to perform.
Wrong date and time
Another cause of the 0x80d02017 error in the Windows store may be an incorrect date and time. Sometimes, if the date or time is incorrect, this or a similar error may occur. However, you can easily solve the problem by setting the date and time. You can do this by following these steps:
Right-click on the clock icon in your taskbar. Select Customize date and time from the menu.
The time should then be set automatically. If you wish, you can also click on the Edit button and set the time and date manually. After correcting the date and time, check to see if the problem persists.
Disable your proxy
Many users use a proxy to protect their privacy on the Internet. Using a proxy is a good idea, but there are sometimes problems because the error 0x80d02017 in the Windows store can occur because of your proxy. This can be a big problem, but you can easily solve it by disabling your proxy.
Disabling IPV6 support
This method has the potential to create additional incompatibilities with your computer (with other applications that use IPV6), but it remains one of the most effective ways to correct the 0x80d02017 error.
Although there is no official explanation as to why disabling IPV6 support has solved the problem for many users, users think it is probably because Windows Store has the potential to cause problems when using a dynamic IP configuration.
