We have already seen how to solve limited WiFi connection problems under Windows 8/10. But sometimes your system may not be able to identify or detect a WiFi or wireless network. In some scenarios, this may be a hardware problem that you can check with the Device Manager (16). Here you should check whether your wireless driver is working properly or not. If you find that this is a hardware problem, you should go to the nearest computer repair shop.
If you are sure enough that everything is okay on the hardware side, you can check if the services Remote Procedure Call (RPC), Windows Connection Manger and WLAN AutoConfig work properly in the window Services (Run services.msc.msc.16) to get this. In our case, we found that the WLAN AutoConfig service was not working on the system, and we received the following error message :
Windows could not start the WLAN Auto Config service on the local computer. Error 1068 : The service or dependency group could not be started
After some research on this topic, we found this solution that was made available to the Microsoft community and that helped us solve this problem. That’s why we share them with all of you.
Windows could not start the AutoConfig WLAN service on the local machine
