This month, the Redmond giant is back with a new series of cumulative Windows 10 updates. More specifically, Microsoft has released KB4499181 for Windows 10 v1703. The company has focused entirely on improving the security of Windows components, including the system’s integrated IE and Microsoft Edge browsers.

All these security updates are automatically downloaded and installed to your device via Windows Update. If your device has not yet received open settings, select Update and Security. Check for updates.
Under Windows 10, updates are automatically installed to ensure the security of your device. But sometimes, due to software and driver compatibility issues, the Windows update may not install or cause other problems. Microsoft noticed this problem and today the company confirmed in the support documents that Windows 10 will now automatically remove false updates.
Your device recently recovered from a boot error when you received this notification: “We have removed some recently installed updates to restore your device after a boot error. If Windows detects it, it will try to correct the error by uninstalling the latest updates installed. This only happens if all other attempts at automatic recovery fail.
Windows 10 version 1703 reached the end of its operation on October 8, 2018. Windows 10 Home, Pro, Pro for Workstation and IoT Core editions no longer receive monthly security and quality updates that protect against the latest security threats. To continue to receive security and quality updates, Microsoft recommends that you upgrade to the latest version of Windows 10.
