There is a KB979391 explaining ONLY why this happens, but no real correction in this article. Some forums have reported that this problem can be solved by reinstalling your Virtual Drive software such as Alcohol 120%, DAEMON Tools Lite etc.

One thing to remember is that after removing the software, there is a good chance it will leave the SPTD.sys driver behind. This driver is well known under Windows 7 for frequent crashes, including blue screens.
