Sharing printers and adding a network printer is very easy under Windows 7/8/10. If you have a printer connected to your computer, you can share it with anyone on the same network. You can control who accesses the printer and who does not.

However, printers directly connected to a network and not connected to a computer are accessible to all on the same network. These printers must have a network port or wireless connection that allows them to connect directly to the network.

1 Go to Network and Share Center Control PanelAdvanced Share Settings.

2 Click on the rafter to enlarge the current network profile.

3 Under File and Printer Sharing, select Enable file and printer sharing, and click Save Changes.

4 You must now share the printer.

Share your printer

1 Go to Start and open Devices and printers.

(2) Right-click the printer you want to share, then click Printer Properties.

3 Click the Share tab Share and check box Share this printer.

Your printer is now available on your network. All they have to do is add a network printer to their computer.

To add a network printer

1 Go to Start and open Devices and Printers.

2. click Add printer.

3. click Add network, wireless or Bluetooth printer, click the shared printer, click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.

(4 Once the printer is successfully installed, you can use it.
