You must have noticed that when you disconnect a device from your Windows computer, safely remove the hardware

Because before disconnecting a device from your computer, you must prepare Windows for the change with this feature. This ensures that Windows has backed up all data on the device again and that the device is released from the hold. If you delete the device without using the Safely Delete Hardware function, you may damage your files and data.

However, the eject window may not appear even if you click the device icon to remove or remove. If you try to open devices and printers in the Control Panel, it will not work either. What do you do in situations where the Remove Hardware Safely and Eject Media option does not work or the icon is missing? Try this solution, it could work in your case, just like mine.

First open the Service Manager and make sure that Bluetooth Support Service is running and set to Automatic. Then open Device Manager and open the Disk Properties field. Under Policies, make sure that Enable disk write caching is enabled. That should work.

Right-click the USB drive (in my case, an HP USB device) and change the default setting from the same location in the properties and choose Better Performance instead. Let’s see if it helps. Return to default setting for fast distance. If it is, it’s great!

But if the Remove Hardware dialog box is still not displayed, if it is, under Windows, instead of simply deleting the hardware and risking possible corruption or data loss, simply open the command prompt window and type the following :

rundll32 shell32.dll,Control_RunDLLL hotplug.dll

Then just press ‘Enter’.

Safely Remove Hardware dialog is now displayed!

You can also create a desktop shortcut for this command if you need to use it frequently. You can also open the This PC or Computer folder, right-click the USB device and select Eject.
