Actually atikmpag. The BSOD system error is caused by a faulty, incompatible, or outdated graphics driver on your computer. More precisely, atikmpag. The blue screen error is related to the AMD graphics card.
If you are using an AMD or ATI graphics card and you see a blue screen error VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE, you are not alone. Many Windows users have reported this frustrating error. And as boring as a blue screen of death error can be, it is possible to correct it.
TDR is the timer, detection and recovery component in Windows. This occurs when the graphics driver of the installed graphics card stops responding. In this case, the driver will be stopped and restarted to solve the problem.
The most common reason for this problem is that the graphics device is overloaded or submerged. This is most common when you play graphics-intensive games, but it can happen in any process that requires a large amount of graphic resources, such as editing or creating videos.
Reinstall the video drivers from Safe Mode
If the driver update does not correct the video_tdr_failure error atikmpag.sys, you must uninstall and reinstall the software to update the graphics functions. This process must be executed in safe mode, as all third-party applications and processes will then be stopped by default.
- Press Win+R and enter msconfig in the Run field and press Enter.
- From the System Configuration tab to the Boot tab.
- Under Start Options, select Secure Start and click Network below.
- Save and apply your changes and restart the Windows 10 system.
- Access Device Manager from Safe Mode and find your graphics cards.
- Right-click each driver and select ‘Uninstall’.
- Now install the latest version of the Intel chipset driver on your computer.

If you have tried the above methods but the problem persists, you may need to replace the atikmpag.sys or atikmdag.sy file (which appears in your blue screen error).
1) First download the latest version of the ATI/AMD graphics card driver.
2) Follow the path C:\Windows\System32\drivers and find the file atikmdag.sys (or atikmpag.sys). Rename it atikmdag.sys.old (or atikmpag.sys.sys.old).
It is important that you only change the one that appears in your blue screen error.
