If you want to rename your administrator account, you can follow one of these steps.
1] From the Windows 8.1 WinX menu, open Console Computer Management. Local users and groups > Expand users. Now select the administrator account you want to rename in the middle area and right-click Rename. You can rename any administrator account this way.
(2) You can use a Control Panel applet to rename the administrator account. To complain this way, start Control UserPasswords2 and press Enter.
In the Users tab, select the user name and click the Properties button. You can rename it in the General tab. Use this method to rename an active and enabled administrator account.
3] If your Windows operating system has the Group Policy Editor , follow these steps. Run gpedit.msc to open the local group policy editor. Then navigate as follows: Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies and select Security Options.
Find accounts : Rename the administrator account and double-click it.
This security setting determines whether the administrator account security identifier (SID) is assigned a different account name. Changing the name of the known administrator account makes it a little more difficult for unauthorized persons to guess this privileged combination of user name and password.
In the Open configuration box under the Local Security Settings tab, you can rename in the Administrator text box. Click Apply > OK and Exit. Use this method to rename the embedded administrator account.
4] You can also use the command line to rename the administrator account. Open a high command prompt window and use the following WMIC utility command to replace CustomAdminname with the name of your choice.
(5). RenameUser is a free tool that helps you rename administrator accounts. You can download it here.
Since this is the administrator user account, be careful when renaming it. If necessary, write the new name and password on a piece of paper.
