There wasn’t such an easy way to change the default installation path for Windows 8.1 applications, but it worked for some and not for others. Windows 10 has made things easy to do. The new configuration window offers all the options to move Windows 10 applications to another drive.

Press Win + I to open the settings window. Then click the System button .

Then go to Apps & Features and wait for Windows to determine the application size. Now find the application you want to move to another drive. Then click on the application and choose Move.

Select a drive and click Move.

Completion will take a few moments, depending on the size of the application.

When the process is complete, the Windows Store application moves to the new location.

If you experience space problems after the upgrade, you can use this technique to move applications from the default system drive to another drive and even redirect new installations to another location.

UPDATE : The ‘Move Installed Applications’ setting seems to be grayed out in the final version of Windows 10 for many, including myself. Caleb adds in his comments that Microsoft has decided to postpone this setting for the time being.
