If you do not use Camera Roll and Saved Pictures folders often in Windows 10 and you want to hide or delete them , this message may help. If the Recorded Images and Camera role still appears on the desktop, it is also a scenario in which you want to hide folders. On the other hand, if you find your image folder very overloaded, you can move these folders to another location . The camera application uses the Camera Roll folder to store the media while the Recorded Images folder is used by the camera application.

The procedure for moving the recorded images and camera roll to another location is similar to changing the default location of user folders via Folder Properties or Windows 10 Settings > Edit, where the new content is saved.

To change them via the folder properties, right-click the Camera Roll folder > select Properties > Location tab. You can find a path mentioned in a box. You must enter the new path to move the Camera Roll folder.

Click OK, etc. and finish.

You can also move the Saved Images folder.

A message on Microsoft Answers suggests the following register change. Before trying, we recommend that you first create a registry backup or system restore point.

Now open the Registry Editor and enter the following location in the Registry search box.

6432NodeHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerFolderDescriptions{2B20DF75-1EDA-4039-8097-38798227D5B7}PropertyBag38798227

Right-click an empty field > New > String Value and name it ThisPCPolicy. Double-click it and set the value to Hide.

Repeat the same procedure at these points :

6432NodeHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWOW6432NodeMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerFolderDescriptions{2B20DF75-1EDA-4039-8097-38798227D5B7}PropertyBag38798227 6432NodeHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerFolderDescriptions{E25B5812-BE88-4bd9- 38798227 29233477B6C3}PropertyBag38798227 6432NodeHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWOW6432NodeMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerFolderDescriptions{E25B5812-BE88-4bd9-94B0- 29233477B6C3}PropertyBag38798227

If you Create thisPCP value chain policy and define the value as Hide at all these locations, The Camera Roller and Saved Images libraries are automatically hidden. If you need to display them, you must delete all these new string values in these places.

Restart your computer and check.
