The Application Storage option is the most interesting. This option allows users to view a list of websites that use the application space on the user’s computer. For each website, current usage and maximum quota are displayed in MB. This option allows the user to enable or disable the application memory and clear the space occupied by one or more websites.
Microsoft Silverlight application memory
Silverlight-based applications use application memory for various purposes. They store small files for settings and large files for graphically intensive applications such as games, maps and images. If you visit a website that requires more storage space, the site requests permission to use more storage space on your computer. This shows you the current usage and the desired usage.
If you trust this Site, you must agree to the requirement to use all features of the Silverlight application. This increases the website quota and consumes more application storage space on your computer. A website’s quota is initially set at 1 MB. An application that is removed from the browser has a 25 MB quota. If you have little disk space or use SSD disks that normally have less capacity, you can configure the application memory to delete any unused space. And as mentioned above, you can also completely disable application storage.
Silverlight Application Storage is a very interesting option for configuration. Next time you use Silverlight, check the different options and configure them according to your needs.
