To disable machine translation in Chrome, open a website in a foreign language, that is, a language other than the default language set in the Chrome browser.

If you do, the browser translates it into your default language (in this case English) and displays a pop-up message.

To disable the annoying popup message, click the Options link in the popup message.

Then click the Language Settings link in the context message.

After confirming the action, a language dialog box opens.

Do not try anything else at this stage. Simply click the cross (x) to close the dialog box.

Then disable the option Offer to translate pages that are not in a language you have not read.

If you find the method a bit boring, there is another way to disable machine translation in Google Chrome.

To do this, directly open the Chrome settings by moving the mouse pointer to the upper right corner of your computer screen, click the’Hamburger’ icon and select Settings > Show Advanced Settings from the list of displayed options, then disable the option above in the Languages section.

That’s it.

Both methods described above disable or disable the machine translation function in Google Chrome and the pop-up message no longer appears in the address bar.

If you want to enable machine translation in Chrome, just do the opposite.
