Movies & TV app in Windows 10 supports loading external subtitles. If you are interested in loading an external subtitle file into the Movies & TV application under Windows 10, proceed as follows. Edit audio tracks.

First, try downloading the subtitles of your favorite show or movie you want to watch. It can be downloaded as a zip file. After downloading, you can save the file anywhere, but in SRT format. If you have downloaded the subtitles in a zipped file, decompress them in an appropriate location.

When you are finished, open the video in the Movie & TV application and click the bubble button next to the volume button. If the file has subtitles encoded, they will be displayed with the following option: ‘Select subtitle file‘.

Click on’Select Subtitle File’ and select the downloaded SRT file. Subtitles appear immediately on your screen.

Please note that if your media file contains multiple audio tracks, you can select and edit the desired subtitle in the Movies & TV application.

To edit the audio track, click the Language button next to the Play/Pause button.

Here you should see a context list with the available channels. Click on the desired track and the track changes in no time.
