What does YourPhone.exe do in Windows 10?

YourPhone.exe is a background process of an application called Your Phone app. This is a UWP application built into Windows 10 and recently introduced by Microsoft to enable file and data synchronization between your PC and mobile devices. How to Disable Yourphone.Exe from Running in the Background

There is more than one way to prevent your phone application from running in the background. If you want the simplest way, simply complete the YourPhone.exe process. You can do this by following the steps below.

  • Open the Settings application by pressing the Win + I key.
  • Click on “Privacy
  • You will now see a hamburger menu with a list of options. Search for background applications, then click on

If you disable toggling, YourPhone.exe will not be able to run in the background.

How to Disable Yourphone.Exe from Running in the Background using PowerShell

There is another way to disable the application in the background: simply uninstall YourPhone.exe from your system. If you want to do this, you can follow the steps below.

  • Right-click on the Windows start button and select Windows PowerShell(Admin)
  • Copy and paste the following command and press Enter
  • AppxPackage Microsoft.YourPhone – All Users | Remove AppxPackage
  • You should no longer see the Your Phone application on your Windows 10 PC.
