Outlook cannot save changed permissions, mainly because delegated access is not working. The problem can also be caused by network access provider restrictions and various add-ons. This error prevents the user from changing calendar permissions and sharing the calendar with other users.

This is a common problem that occurs due to minor technical issues in the Outlook application. This problem does not mean that the problem is with the hardware itself. Be sure to bring your Outlook credentials with you before you start, as they are required. Many users encounter this error on their system. If you want to fix this error, here are some steps.

What is the cause of the “Modified permissions cannot be saved” error message in Outlook?

Outlook fails to save changed permissions, mainly because delegate access remains blocked while it is running. This error can also be caused by network access provider restrictions and conflicting add-ons. This error prevents the user from changing calendar permissions and sharing the calendar with other users.

Add-ons help us get the most out of Outlook, but add-on conflicts are a common Outlook problem that can cause problems like the one we’re talking about here.

Delegated access is used to share the Outlook calendar with other users. If, due to an error, delegated access fails to work or authorization changes are not transmitted to the server, Outlook Calendar cannot save the changed authorizations. In this case, performing another delegate access operation can solve the problem.
