Microsoft has done a wonderful job with the Xbox Game Pass, a relatively new service considered as the future of the game. It first appeared on Xbox One, but now the service has arrived at Windows 10 with some problems here and there.
Not long ago, some users complained about problems with Xbox Game Pass for Windows 10. It’s nothing unusual, to the point where it can no longer be fixed, but it’s still very boring. From what we understand, people say they have trouble connecting when playing an Xbox Game for Windows 10 application. Apparently, the application updates on the main page again, and this can be quite irritating.
Unfortunately, this is not the end of the story. OK, so when loading a game either via the Microsoft Store, the Game Pass application or the Start menu, nothing happens except a black screen. Sometimes a game has started, but the Enter key doesn’t work, and nobody likes it a little.
How to fix it: Xbox Game Pass does not work on Windows 10 PC
Avoid Xbox Game Pass problems on Windows by knowing which games work and which don’t on Windows 10 PCs.
Your subscription is only valid for games that Microsoft has in the Game Pass Library. In addition, you can only download an Xbox Game Pass title to your Windows PC and synchronize your game if it is an Xbox Play Anywhere game. Look for the Xbox Play Anywhere icon in the Microsoft Store.

Re-register the application
The first thing we will do here is to solve the problem with the Xbox Console Companion application. Click the Search button, then type PowerShell. You can also open the Start menu and type PowerShell until it appears. Right-click on the icon and choose Run as administrator.
Finally, copy the following codes into PowerShell to solve potential problems with the Xbox Console Companion App for Windows 10 application in succession and press Enter to register the application again.
Get-AppXPackage – AllUsers |Wo object {$_.InstallLocation – Like “*SystemApps*”} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
Get-AppXPackage | % {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDe\velopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -verbose}
Get-AppXPackage – AllUser | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
CONCLUSION
It is also interesting to note that the strict protection of files in Xbox Game Pass games means that you cannot change your games at this stage.
This could be related to the mediocrity of the Xbox application’s overall backend right now, with its countless problems installing and uninstalling games, but if you want to play mod-friendly games like Slay the Spire, you’d better get the game elsewhere.
Overall, the Xbox application is still in beta and Xbox Game Pass for PC is a new service. This is reflected in some of the problems it faces, but we still think it is worth a try given the low entry prices.
