Restore distributed Microsoft Visual C++ files.
The problem with Warframe update bug is often caused by Windows update errors or bugs, which somehow ruined installation of Microsoft Visual C++ distributed files. Other system files may also be affected, and you should take care of them after you restore the installed Microsoft Visual C++ distributed components.
- Click the Start button and open the Control Panel by performing a search. You can also click the gear icon to open the Settings application if you have Windows 10 installed.
- In the Control Panel, switch the “Show how” option to “Category” in the upper right corner and click “Delete program” in the “Programs” section at the bottom of the “Control Panel” window.
- If you use the “Settings” application in Windows 10, just click “Applications” to immediately open the list of all programs installed on your computer.
- Find the Microsoft Visual C++ package you are distributing on the Control Panel or in the Settings and click “Edit” once. You may find that there are different versions of the utility. You should write them down and repeat the repair process for each version.
- You may need to confirm some dialog boxes and follow the instructions of the wizard. Be sure to select “Restore” for each version of the utility.
- When the wizard is finished, click “Finish” and repeat the process for all versions of Visual C++. Check if you can now update Warframe by running it.
- If it doesn’t work. You can uninstall any distributed Microsoft Visual C++ package and download it again. You will need to reinstall Visual C++ by finding it here. Select the version you want to download and choose the download according to your processor (32 or 64 bits).

Changing the language in the Warframe Launcher
This fixed my problem when the War Within update was stopped. To do this, follow these steps:
- Run Warframe
- When you are on the main screen, press the down arrow as shown in the screenshot below.
- Switching between several languages
- The launch program will reboot and hopefully your problem will be solved.
Disable your antivirus or Warframe.Exe white list.
Your current antivirus application may interfere with data exchange between Warframe servers and your computer. You can open the antivirus application and add Launcher.exe, Warframe.x64.exe and Warframe.exe to your white list.
Before adding an application to your white list, it is recommended to disable it to make sure that it causes any problems.
Check for malware
Probably, the problem is related to malware. To find out if it is the culprit, you need to use Malwarebytes to scan your computer.
- Open Malwarebytes and select the scan option available on the main application screen.
- The tool will most likely start an update service to update your virus database, and then continue scanning. Wait until the process is complete. Of course, this may take some time. If malware is detected on your computer, make sure that it has been removed or quarantined.
- Reboot your computer after the scan is complete.
- Check if the problem with Warframe update has been solved.
