Restart your home network

  1. In the PS4 main menu, go to Settings.
  2. Go to the Network menu and select Internet Connection Setup.
  3. Then select the type of Internet connection you’re currently using. If it is a wired connection, select LAN, if it is a wireless connection, select the WiFi option.
  4. From the menu, select the Custom option and set your IP address to Automatic.
  5. Under the DHCP hostname, select the Do Not Specify option.
  6. Then set the DNS settings to Manual and enter 8.8.8.8 in the Primary DNS field.
  7. Under Secondary DNS, use 8.8.4.4.
  8. The above settings are for IPv4. If you want to use IPv6 instead enter 208.67.222.222 as Primary DNS and 208.67.220.220 as Secondary DNS.
  9. Save these settings and restart the PS4.
