If you have been using Windows 10 for some time, you may notice that some notification icons come from programs and applications that are no longer installed on your computer system.
In the Customize dialog box, you can choose whether the icons appear in the operating system notification area and whether they are hidden by default (so you must click on the top icon to see them).
Neither the software nor the Windows operating system automatically removes system notification icons when a program is uninstalled.
On the other hand, some of them can do more good.
These are not just icons. They run programs. In other words, they are currently doing a task that you may or may not want to do. Anyway, they use RAM, clock cycles, and so on. Each of them slows down your PC a little. They can also conflict with other software, making Windows less stable.
Remove unused application icons from the notification area
Step 1: Access the “Start” menu and select the “Control Panel”, “Appearance and Customization”, “Taskbar” and “Start” menus. The Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box appears.
