If you need to change the location of Overwatch, you have no choice but to uninstall and reinstall the game. However, this is not what many users want. Moving Overwatch to Another Location

First you have to move the folder itself. To do this, open the “Monitor” section in the Battle.Net Launcher. At the top left, under the game logo, select “Game Options” and then “Show in Explorer”.

You will be guided to where Overwatch is installed. Right-click on the folder and select “Cut”. Go to the location where you want to move the game, right-click and select “Paste”. Now that we’ve actually moved the folder, we need to correct the location in the startup program.

The Battle.Net launcher will think that the game has been uninstalled. So we want to press the “Install” button again. But this time we have to change the installation location. Set it to where you just added Overwatch.

Press the “Install” button. On the bottom bar there may be the mention “Update”. After about a minute, the “Play” button will be available. Overwatch is now playable from your other player or location!

Move OVERWATCH to another Drive by copying the installation folder

  • Go to where Overwatch is installed.
  • Move the installation folder to the new location using the Cut+Paste function.
  • Next, start the Battle.Net startup program. Read this article if you have problems starting Battle.Net.
  • Now Battle.Net assumes that Overwatch is uninstalled. You must click the Install button.
  • Change the installation folder to the new location.
  • Wait a few minutes until the process is complete.

This solution only works if the new drive is on the same computer where OVERWATCH is already installed.

Clone your entire hard drive

Use this unique solution only in special circumstances. For example, if you are switching from HDD to SSD. This way, you copy the contents of an entire disk to another disk. However, you do not have the ability to choose what you want to copy. Everything is cloned, from the operating system to the last file.

If you follow these steps and use the right tools, you should be able to easily transfer your Overwatch game from one disk to another without having to reinstall it. In fact, the above methods can be used for just about any game.
