“The current owner cannot be displayed” is an error message that sometimes appears in the Owner box when users try to support a specific file or folder. This behavior can occur for several reasons, but this error is always related to the user account rights.
When users try to appropriate a file that displays “Current owner cannot be displayed” in the Owner field, the error “New owner cannot be set to Folder, access denied” appears.
