If you have not changed your Windows login password, the error “Logon failure unknown user name” 0x8007052E indicates database corruption that the Windows task scheduler uses to store login information. You may be able to recover by deleting and recreating the corresponding schedule (d Task), but user reports (and web search) indicate that if this happens spontaneously, it can happen again. It is possible that only a new Windows installation will solve the problem.
Note that the Windows Task Scheduler is not part of our software, but is part of your system.
This error can be displayed for a planned profile (possibly in the Last planned execution error column or elsewhere), so the profile itself was not started at the planned time.
The most likely reason is that your Windows login password has changed, so you will need to update the scheduled task to use your new password. Windows does not automatically update passwords for scheduled tasks when you change your password.
Here’s how to solve this problem:
Restart the computer in safe mode
Safe mode starts Windows with a limited number of files and drivers. The boot programs do not run in safe mode and only the basic Windows boot drivers are installed. Restarting your PC in safe mode can be very useful for solving problems with programs, drivers that do not boot properly, or infections that prevent Windows from booting or running properly.
When you start in safe mode, the following 3 options are displayed:
October 2024 Update:
You can now prevent PC problems by using this tool, such as protecting you against file loss and malware. Additionally, it is a great way to optimize your computer for maximum performance. The program fixes common errors that might occur on Windows systems with ease - no need for hours of troubleshooting when you have the perfect solution at your fingertips:
- Step 1 : Download PC Repair & Optimizer Tool (Windows 10, 8, 7, XP, Vista – Microsoft Gold Certified).
- Step 2 : Click “Start Scan” to find Windows registry issues that could be causing PC problems.
- Step 3 : Click “Repair All” to fix all issues.
Safe Mode: Loads a limited number of Windows files, drivers, and services required to load the operating system. You cannot connect to the Internet, uninstall programs from the Control Panel, install applications, or install Windows updates.
Safe Network Mode: Starts Windows with basic drivers and Internet connection only. Cable connection and most wireless networks should work.
Safe Mode with Command Prompt: This mode can help you perform advanced diagnostics and solve many serious problems, especially during normal startup or in other Safe Mode options. This only displays a black input window and allows you to enter commands to perform actions.
Clean installation of Windows Operating System
A clean Windows 10 installation is the best way to restart your device if it has performance problems. It can help quickly eliminate errors, viruses and other types of malware and repair system damage.
This is also the best way to update from an earlier version. You can use various tools to update, but sometimes they do not work properly, and you can transfer unwanted files, settings and applications to the new installation.
If you really want a fresh start with your PC, you want to make a good old clean install that deletes everything on your computer, reformats your hard drive, and installs a clean copy of Windows 10 with bootable support.
Updating your drivers
Although drivers are installed on your system, you may not know exactly what they are or what version you are using.
If you are running something from Windows XP to Windows 8, you can use the command prompt to find this information. Press Windows + X and click Command Prompt. Enter the driver and press Enter to get a list of all drivers installed on your system and when that driver was released.
You can also type driverquery > driver.txt to export all this information in a handy text file. The file is saved where the path is defined. So in my example above, it would be C:\Users\Joe.
It is very important to remember that the specified date is not the date the driver was last updated, but the date the driver you are using was released. Although a pilot may have a link back a few years, it is not necessarily true that it needs to be updated.
Expert Tip: This repair tool scans the repositories and replaces corrupt or missing files if none of these methods have worked. It works well in most cases where the problem is due to system corruption. This tool will also optimize your system to maximize performance. It can be downloaded by Clicking Here
