Sometimes the default fonts of the latest version of Windows 10 are simply not enough. Maybe you need something more exciting for your next PowerPoint presentation or graphic design project.
You probably have an army of fonts on your Windows 10 PC that you can use to spice up your documents, presentations and other files. But how do you know what fonts are available, what they’ll look like, and how do you get new ones?
If you’re using Windows 10, Microsoft offers a number of tools that can help you. With the Standard Fonts tool in the Control Panel, you can see which fonts are installed and preview and print a preview of each font.
How to Export Windows 10 System Font
Exporting a system font under Windows 10 requires little more than copying a file. All you need to know is where the file is and what it is called. You must start with the name of the font. If you don’t know the name of the font, but you can identify it in a document, open the WordPad application in Windows 10. Select the font using the font selection tool, and the tool tells you the name of the font. This is the easiest way to find the name of a system font in Windows 10.
Then open the File Explorer and go to the following location
- C:\Windows\Fonts
Check the font files here and find the one you want to export/copy. Right-click and choose Copy from the context menu. Paste the file to another location on a local hard drive or external drive. That’s all you need to do. You can now send the file to yourself by e-mail, or use a removable storage device or cloud drive to move the file to the system where you want to use it.

How to Reset Default Fonts
If there are problems with the fonts or if you have deleted an important font, you can always reset your fonts to Windows 10 standards. This is much less stressful than resetting or reinstalling Windows 10, and it restores your fonts to the state they were in when the operating system was freshly installed.
Step 1: On the Windows 10 search bar, locate the Control Panel and click the appropriate result.
Step 2: Click Appearance and Customization, and then click Fonts.
Step 3: On the left menu, click Font Settings.
