This article shows how to download the ISO image, burn it to a USB stick and create a USB boot media from ISO for Windows 10 installation.

You must first download it from its official Microsoft link. The latest version is Insider Preview Build 10130, available here. We will update this link as soon as the final version is available.

If you have done so, you can use it to create a USB stick or bootable USB stick. To do this, you will need the help of some programs such as Windows USB/DVD Download Tool, Rufus, ESET SysRescue Live, WinToFlash, Windows USB Installer Maker or Windows Installation Media Creation Tool.

In this post, I use Rufus as an example. It also offers a portable version that I used. After downloading this freeware, plug in your USB and click Rufus to open the main window. Note that you need 4 GB USB for the 32-bit version and 8 GB for the 64-bit version of Windows.

You can enter a new volume label and search for the location of the downloaded Windows 10 ISO image. To navigate to the location, see Format Options Creating a bootable hard disk with option. Click the small icon on the right side and navigate to the folder and select the ISO file.

You can leave the remaining options at their default values. If you use the MBR partitioning scheme for BIOS or UEFI, the bootable USB is suitable for both BIOS and UEFI devices.

When you are finished, simply click Start and wait until the process is complete. Remember that when you click Start, all data stored in this USB memory will be deleted.

Once the process is complete, you have a bootable Windows 10 USB installation media in your hand that you can use to install Windows 10. If you feel the need, you can check if the USB is bootable.

You can also use the Windows 10 media creation tool to create installation media.
