Many of us have been confronted with errors related to Scripture in our lives. It is very common for script errors to occur when using the computer. However, it is more than a little annoying when you are blocked by the message “An Error Has Occurred in a Script on This Page”.
A script error is an error that occurs when the instructions in a script cannot be executed correctly for any reason. Most computer users will probably notice script errors in the browser if they cannot execute JavaScript or VBScript instructions from a web page.
There may be several reasons for this, but here are some of the most common ones. Most script error messages are caused by the use of an outdated web browser such as Internet Explorer. A setting in your web browser may block scripts or your security software may treat a harmless script as if it were a threat that needs to be removed.
To help you correct the script error that occurred in the script on this page, here are some methods you can follow:
Disable script error notifications
- In your Internet Explorer, navigate to the upper right corner and select “Tools”.
- Then select “Internet Options”.
- Navigate to the Advanced tab.
- Check the following two boxes if they are not ticked: Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other).
- Now disable the “Display a notification about every script error” option.
- Click Apply in the lower right corner to save the changes.
- Restart your browser and check if the error persists.
