Stop Error 0x0000009f is also known as DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. This blue screen of death error indicates that the driver is in an incoherent or invalid state of tension.

Roll Back Driver Updates
If the error occurs after installing new drivers, you can try resetting the drivers to the previous version.
Go to Device Manager and expand the category to find the device with problematic drivers.
Right-click the device name and click Properties.
In the Driver tab, click the Reset Driver button and follow the on-screen instructions to reset the driver. Then restart your PC for the change to take effect.
Start Windows in a clean boot state.
The next method to solve the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE problem is to boot Windows in a clean boot state to determine which program will crash your system. To start Windows in the “Clean Boot” state:
Press Windows image_thumb8_thumb + R to open the command box.
In the search box, type: msconfig and click OK to launch the system configuration utility.
On the Services tab, select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click the Disable all button to prevent all non-Microsoft services from starting when Windows starts.
