Normally, we don’t care about space for offline files. Sometimes we don’t know where the extra space on our disks is used. But since you’re an intelligent Windows user, you should pay attention to storage space. By default, Windows follows the policy of configuring and allocating 10% of the cache space for offline files.
Automatic caching can be set on any network share. When a user opens a file on the share, the system automatically saves a copy of the file on the user’s computer. Sometimes, this automatic caching takes up a considerable amount of disk space. In another case, if the temporary cache files do not matter to you, you may not want to cache space on your disk. To do this, you must configure the Offline Files tab to disable offline temporary file storage space.
In this article, we show you the extended ability to disable settings for saving temporary, automatically cached files.
