How to manually update Microsoft Office 2016/2013

Microsoft recently released Office 2013 Service Pack 1 for customers who want a higher level of overall stability, functionality and security in Office, SharePoint Server and related products. Load a normal Office application such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or Excel. Move the mouse pointer over the’File’ menu. Select’Account’ below.

Further down in the’Manage Account’ section, you can see the’Update Options’ field.

Click the drop-down arrow in the box to display the list of options. Select’Disable updates’.

Repeat the same action and select Enable updates this time.

Actions taken require Office 2013 to download and install new updates available. If you have not yet installed Office 2013 Service Pack 1, you can also receive updates. Download it and install it in your Office version.

When the update process is complete, you will find a new option under Update options : Update now.

Office 2013 Service Pack 1 introduced an Update Now command in the Update Options button to streamline the manual process of checking for updates. All Office applications must be 15.0.4569.1506 or higher.

To manually update Office 2013, simply use the new Update Now option.
