Clear browsing history in Edge

Like any other web browser, Edge has this option to clear browsing history, cookies, etc. through Edge browser settings.

Click the three additional actions in the upper right corner of your Edge web browser and go to Settings. Scroll down and you will see option Delete navigation data. Here you can select what you want to delete.

Manage your saved passwords

Go from Settings option to Advanced Settings. In the Privacy and Services section, you will find the’Manage Registered Passwords’ option, from which you can view and manage all your passwords stored in your Edge browser.

Cookies

You can choose whether you want to block all cookies, block third-party cookies or not. In the’Cookies’ section of the Advanced Settings, you can select the option you want and configure how Edge handles cookies. You can also choose whether websites should store protected media licenses on your device or not.

Media license settings work when you download any type of media from the Edge browser. Enabling, which allows pages to store protected media licenses on my device, allows media Web sites to store DRM data on your device and prevents storage of media licenses. You may not be able to get protected support from Microsoft Edge if your licenses (and unique ID) are not stored on your device.

Page predictions and intelligent screen filter

Page predictions is a feature where Microsoft Edge predicts and suggests websites based on your browsing history. This function is enabled by default and is likely to send the complete history of your browsing to Microsoft. Disable it if you do not want Microsoft to check your browser history.

Smart Screen Filter is a Microsoft Edge feature that allows your browser to automatically block URLs and malicious content. You can enable the smart screen filter and the browser blocks all malicious URLs and notifies you each time a web page is blocked. Smart Screen redirects you to the Microsoft Web site when you visit a malicious URL. This function is disabled by default.

To enable the smart screen filter, go to Advanced Settings and under Privacy and Services, activate the Help tab to protect yourself from malicious websites and downloads using the SmartScreen filter.

Save entries

Microsoft Edge has a function similar to Autofill in other browsers and is called Save Entries. If you want Microsoft to remember all the personal information you enter in the forms, you must enable this option.

Go to Advanced settings and under Privacy and services, you can enable or disable settings Save form entries.

Cortana settings

Scroll down and you can adjust settings for tracking requests and Cortana in your Microsoft Edge browser. Here you can choose if you want to use Cortana for support. If you have correctly configured Cortana on Windows 10, you can enable and use Cortana integration in the Edge browser.
