Cookies are small files that websites place on your computer’s hard drive when you visit them. They record your personal preferences and usernames, register your products and services, and customize the pages of each Web site. WebCookiesSniffer is a Windows utility, a new application from Nirsoft that collects all cookies stored on your computer from websites through browsers and applications and then provides you with all information about the stored cookie.
(Except for a capture driver required to capture network packets, the application does not require installation processes or additional DLL files. WebCookiesSniffer also provides a complete overview of the cookies stored, where they came from and where they were stored.
The utility only requires Microsoft’s WinPcap Capture Capture Driver or Network Monitor Driver to capture cookies in real time.
November 2024 Update:
You can now prevent PC problems by using this tool, such as protecting you against file loss and malware. Additionally, it is a great way to optimize your computer for maximum performance. The program fixes common errors that might occur on Windows systems with ease - no need for hours of troubleshooting when you have the perfect solution at your fingertips:
- Step 1 : Download PC Repair & Optimizer Tool (Windows 10, 8, 7, XP, Vista – Microsoft Gold Certified).
- Step 2 : Click “Start Scan” to find Windows registry issues that could be causing PC problems.
- Step 3 : Click “Repair All” to fix all issues.
To launch the application, simply download and run the WebCookiesSniffer.exe executable. After the first start of WebCookiesSniffer, the’Capture Options’ window appears on the screen. The user is prompted to select a capture method and the desired network adapter. If you want to change the’Capture Options’, you can do so easily with the function of the F9 key.
After selecting the network adapter and a collection method, WebCookiesSniffer captures and displays each cookie found in the data sent between your web browser and the remote web server. The program even accepts new cookies that are created on your system.
Each cookie is displayed with host name, length, path, number and character string, and once the user selects a cookie, all its values are displayed in the lower half of the screen. The user can create HTML reports or save the selected cookies as text, CSV or XML files.
The only disadvantage of WebCookiesSniffer is that it has no way to process or delete a cookie, as it is not able to link a cookie to the website that triggered its creation.
WebCookiesSniffer is distributed as a freeware, is compatible with Windows 7 and runs on 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the Windows operating system.
