Windows 8 automatically changes the cursor size according to the DPI settings of the screen. The relationships between DPI and slider sizes are approximately as follows:
- (100% : 32×32 Pixel
- 150% : 48×48 Pixel
- 200% : 64×64 Pixel
This occurs when the operating system selects one image from several images of different sizes in a cursor file. The problem is that the default cursor files in Windows 8 have only 32 pixels and 48 images of 48 pixels. If DPI is set to 200%, an image smaller than 64×64 pixels is stretched and such a slider shows dirty contours.
What this utility basically does is replace all the standard sliders with a high DPI support, so that whenever you switch to high DPI settings, the sliders are perfect, not blurry and focused. The default slider package is similar to Windows 8 sliders, so there is no chance to interfere with the originality of Windows 8. The standard package contains 10 normal sliders and 2 animated sliders.
There are 12 sliders that can be replaced, but you can even replace all the sliders, only one of them or selected sliders. If you did not like working with this software, you can even reset the sliders to the default value by simply clicking the’Reset to Default’ button. The program is very easy to use and use.
