There is no way to open closed folders or applications in the Windows operating system. This means that if you browse a long path in Windows and accidentally close the window, you cannot automatically return to the same folder or window. Of course, you can get an option called ‘Last Places’ or ‘Quick Access’, but you cannot get all these folders automatically. You have to open them manually. The same applies to each software window. If you accidentally close a software window, you will need to do all these things again after the software restarts.
All common web browsers have a key combination. This is Ctrl+Shift+T, with which you can reopen the last closed tabs and windows of the browser. This means that if you accidentally close a browser tab, you can easily restore it by pressing this key combination without entering the URL of the web page. The best thing about this is that you can open the browser window recently closed, even after hibernation.
To solve this problem, there is a software called UndoClose that allows you to do it easily. The most interesting thing is UndoClose is a free portable software available for Windows 10/8/7, but you must have Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 installed on your computer, otherwise this portable tool will not work.
UndoClose for Windows
UndoClose is very easy to use software. There is no complicated option. It therefore takes no more than a few seconds to understand the workflow. UndoClose can open recently closed applications and folders without restriction.
On the other side, the interface is well decorated. UndoClose recently closed windows and applications using keyboard shortcuts. You can therefore modify the keyboard shortcuts and set them according to your wishes. Otherwise, there is no other option.
